Hungry for victory and with a new captain cadiaN, the Danish team came well-prepared for their opponents. On Nuke, Na'Vi seemed a bit lost and unsure of how to counter the Danish machine, and even two IEM Rio 2024 MVPs iM and jL struggled to find their rhythm. Astralis' strong performance allowed them to secure the first map with a confident 13-6 score.
The next map was Na'Vi's pick, Mirage. Could "Born to Win" bounce back and push the game to a third map?
Starting on the defense, Na'Vi displayed a confident and calculated approach, but Astralis eventually gained control and steered the game in their favor. Na'Vi tried to play their signature style on offense, with slow rounds, last-second bomb plants, they also tried to break the pace and play faster. but the Danes were consistently one step ahead, outplaying them in crucial rounds and key moments. Despite Na'Vi’s best efforts, Astralis took the second map with the same commanding 13-6 score.
Na'Vi moved to the tournament's lower bracket. Interestingly, Na'Vi have never won their opening matches at the BLAST World Final.
