The semifinals of ESL Pro League Season 19 have concluded. Based on the results of the matches played, Team Vitality and MOUZ advance to the grand final, while Complexity and Astralis exit the tournament, securing the 3rd-4th places and earning $45,000 each. Let's take a closer look at the results of the matches that took place.

ESL Pro League S19 - Results of the day:

Team Vitality vs Astralis

  • 1. Vitality removed Ancient
  • 2. Astralis removed Anubis
  • 3. Vitality picked Mirage
  • 4. Astralis picked Vertigo
  • 5. Vitality removed Overpass
  • 6. Astralis removed Nuke
  • 7. Inferno was left over

The Danes started this best-of-3 series energetically, and despite Team Vitality's map choice, they managed to demonstrate a powerful offense, which helped them win the first map with a significant lead. Initially trailing 0:5, the Danes rallied to win the crucial rounds on the defensive side, turning the tide against the champions of the Paris Major. The final score of the map was 13:9 in favor of Astralis.

Vertigo saw a fiercely contested battle, and when Team Vitality had two match points, Astralis managed to force the game into overtimes by winning two crucial retake rounds. However, in overtime, Vitality proved slightly stronger, pushing the match to the decisive third map.

Astralis suffered a bitter defeat on Inferno. Initially, they secured a colossal advantage with 6 rounds on the attacking side, while Vitality failed to secure a single one. However, apEx found the right words to motivate his team, equalizing the score before the second half. Perhaps this slight comeback shook Astralis' confidence, as they could only manage to win two rounds on the defensive side, ultimately conceding the spot in the grand final to Team Vitality.

MOUZ vs Compliexty

  • 1. Complexity removed Mirage
  • 2. MOUZ removed Anubis
  • 3. Complexity picked Vertigo
  • 4. MOUZ picked Nuke
  • 5. Complexity removed Overpass
  • 6. MOUZ removed Inferno
  • 7. Ancient was left over

The North American team showed a strong performance on the initial map, Vertigo, and secured a victory with a score of 13:8, with two pistol round wins contributing to this score for Complexity.

On Nuke, the "mice" demonstrated an excellent attack, leading 8:4 in their favor. Their defense on this map has always been solid, and as a result, the second map ended with a score of 13:9 in favor of MOUZ, leading us to the final map, Ancient.

On Ancient, the MOUZ team dominated the first half on the defensive side, leading 8:4. After the side switch, they didn't lose a single round on the attack, confidently securing their spot in the tournament's grand final by defeating Complexity.
