Mongolz defeat Drillas in a hard fought match
The Mongolz suddenly defeat Drillas in a hard fought match with 2-1 score, and advance to the main stage of PW Shanghai Major 2024. Team ohnepixel still has a chance to clinch a Major and qualify for the main tournament of the year via the lower bracket.
Objectively, the match between Mongolz and Drillas is the most entertaining match of the game day. On the first map Drillas almost completely dominated the Mongols, although they won by a close score.
The second and third maps were under full control of Mongolz, despite such a daring start by their opponents. The reasons for this sudden change of roles are unknown, but most likely Mongolz were not quite serious about the match against the “most hypest team” of the Asian RMR and only after the first map they were able to regain their championship mood, which Drillas were not able to show us. Nevertheless, the ohnepixel team still has a great chance to qualify for the upcoming Major and we will be waiting for the next match of these guys with pleasure.
